MRI

open mri

Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI) is a procedure that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce an image of the body in cross sections. This enables excellent images, particularly of soft tissue such as the brain and internal organs. MRI is generally used whenever X-Ray or ultrasound examinations do not deliver clear results. In Our Centre we use 0.5T open type MRI, which can be used to analyze bones, soft tissue, and blood vessels. Since an MRI doesn’t use radiation, it is a safe option for patients sensitive to radiation. An open MRI, to the contrary, has a magnet top and bottom, which allows for an opening on the sides. As its name would indicate, a closed MRI, has a capsule-like design where the magnet surrounds the patient.
